The Cuties have been busy as little bees! Cooking up fun Valentine’s treats in their kitchen in preparation for their debut in print media 😉 Tomorrow (February 14, 2015) they will be featured in the national Rochester Post Bulletin newspaper! Our darling friend, and talented newspaper columnist, Sandy Erdman, wrote the article…annnnd, she’s also designed and made the adorable aprons that the Cuties are wearing in this post.
Anyhoo, without further ado, we proudly present this yummy, festive recipe for sweet/salty vanilla popcorn. Make up a batch and enjoy it while watching a family movie on Valentine’s Day. So pretty and so delicious! Enjoy, Cuties!
gather your ingredients:
You’ll need:
12 oz. (2 cups) vanilla/white chocolate chips
2 bags plain microwave popcorn, popped (old maids removed)
heart sprinkles
conversation hearts
salt
aluminum foil, cooking parchment or waxed paper
Adult: Pop popcorn and pour it into a large mixing bowl. Melt the white chocolate chips in microwave, checking every 10 seconds and stirring to insure you don’t burn the chocolate. Once completely melted, pour it over the popcorn and, using a wooden spoon, stir well to coat. Place a long piece of aluminum foil, waxed paper or cooking parchment on your table or counter.
Pour coated popcorn out onto foil and spread it in an even layer:
Sprinkle the popcorn with some heart sprinkles, conversation hearts and salt:
SOOOOO PRETTY!
Scoop into individual serving bowls and enjoy!
Great job, Cuties!
Happy Valentines Day!
Much love,
