Today we made scones! They’re pink and strawberry and AWESOME with tea. Gramma and Mom helped, but we did most of the work.
If you want to try making these yummy, 3-Ingredient scones, you’ll need…
gather your ingredients:
3 cups self-rising flour + more for kneading and cutting out
2 and 1/2 cups ice cream, any flavor (we used vanilla & strawberry)
5 drops red food coloring
~ Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. ~
Have an adult place the ingredients in a big bowl.
Then, get out your big spoons and mix!
Have an adult knead the dough with a little extra flour and pat into a rectangle…
You’ll want it to be about an inch thick before cutting with a biscuit cutter (ours was heart shaped!) Make sure you dip the cutter in flour before cutting each scone out so the scones don’t stick!
Place scones 1 inch apart on two, lightly greased baking sheets.
Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes (or until lightly golden on bottom.)
Transfer to cooling racks or plates to cool a bit…
Split and enjoy while slightly warm… add butter and sugar or Devonshire cream & jam!
