racecarbears

Here’s a fun food craft to do with your kiddos! It’s a great way to use up that leftover Halloween candy. The best part about this craft is that once you’re done making these little race car bears, you get to eat them!

gather your ingredients:

racecarstuff

fun size Milky Way candy bars

chewy spree candies

chocolate chips

Teddy Grahams

Adult: Cut a little notch in one side of the candy bar, as shown below (we found that it’s easier to do this on the bottom sides of the candy bars instead of the top.) You’re trying to make a hole that’s just big enough to accommodate a Teddy Graham bear.

Place bears in holes…

Adult: Place some chocolate chips in a bowl, and set bowl in microwave. Heat chips in 30 second increments, stirring in between, just until chocolate is melted. Don’t over cook your chocolate or it will seize up and you’ll have to start over.

Using a small, new paint brush, dab some melted chocolate on each side of the “cars” where the “wheels” will go. Gently press a Spree candy “wheel” into the melted chocolate.
