We whipped up a batch of these for Maddie May and Chloe Rae after a marathon day in the kitchen. We got two posts done in one day and decided that everyone deserved a yummy treat. These aren’t health food, but they are a fun way to get some pumpkin into your little one’s diet! They love them and will tell you that they taste just like pumpkin pie!
for 3 shakes:
gather your ingredients:
6 scoops of vanilla ice cream (or more if you like thick shakes)
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup to 1/3 cup pure pumpkin puree
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
sweetened whipped cream for topping (we used Extra Creamy Redi Whip)
pumpkin candies for garnish
Place ice cream, milk, pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice in the bowl of a blender. Blend until smooth, adding more ice cream if you like thicker shakes and more milk if you like them thinner.
Pour the shakes into 3 glasses. Top with whipped cream and pumpkin candies. Serve each with a cute straw.
