These were sort of a disaster to make. Just being honest. I think they would have been way easier and cuter if we had used frosting instead of the cake decorating gel. If you want to make these, just remember this is suppose to be fun. The kitty cats will look silly and imperfect. If you want to make Halloween “Black” Kitty Cat Cupcakes, use chocolate frosting instead of vanilla, and chocolate marshmallows in place of the white ones (for the ears.)

To make the Kitty Cat Cupcakes:

gather your supplies…

You’ll need:

cupcake papers

1 box of Funfetti cake mix

eggs

oil

water

green M&Ms

black cake decorating gel

pink cake decorating gel

white mini marshmallows

white frosting

To decorate cupcakes:

Cut mini marshmallows in half, on the diagonal, to create 2 pointy cat ears. Place these on the cupcake. Use green M&Ms to create eyes, and a little black cake decorating gel for the pupils. Use Pink cake decorating gel for the inside of the cat ears and the nose, and use black decorating gel to make whiskers and mouth.

Good luck! This was the best we could do! 🙂
